Thirteen Apostles

The Thirteen Apostles (十三 使徒) are Strategic-Class Magicians who possess Strategic-Class Magic, and have had their identities revealed to the world for the sake of national prestige.

For a while, there were only Twelve Apostles (十二 使徒) due to the death of Liú Yúndé during Scorched Halloween. His death was later announced and his position is replaced by Liú Lìlěi, his proclaimed granddaughter.

During the run up to the Miyaki Island Incident of 2097, and including the incident itself, several of the apostles changed as a result of the conflict: Angie Sirius of the USNA defected to Japan. Igor Andreevich Bezobrazov of the New Soviet Union was killed. Liú Lìlěi of the Great Asian Union defected to Japan. Miguel Diaz of Brazil was neutralised and is no longer a Strategic Class Magician. Ichijou Masaki of Japan became the fourteenth, now thirteenth, Strategic Class Magician by using the spell Ocean Blast to repel a fleet from the New Soviet Union and his identity as a Strategic Class Magician was made public shortly thereafter.
