Shibata Osamu (新発田 理) is the current Head of the Shibata Family, a Branch Family of the Yotsuba Family.

Background[]
Osamu along with Yotsuba Maya, the Head of the Yotsuba Family and the other six Branch Family Heads convened a meeting to talk about Shiba Tatsuya's performance in conducting and finishing the mission given to him about dealing with Zhou Gongjin. Maya decided to postpone the decision about what to do until the New Year's Gathering. [1]
Osamu calls his son, Shibata Katsushige, to ask him how he's doing, and then moves on to talk about stopping Shiba Miyuki from reaching the Yotsuba Main House for the New Year's Celebration. The reason for this is to postpone her from becoming the next head in order to deal with sealing Tatsuya's power. Despite Katsushige pointing out Tatsuya's accomplishments that benefitted the Yotsuba and that this act could be seen as a rebellion, Osamu insists and tells him that he will be the last line of defense should the Mashiba Family and Shizuka Family fail on stopping Tatsuya's group.[2]
