Lightning (稲妻) is a spell that uses magic to perceive information that can be recognized and directly used without intervention from the brain and nervous system in order to directly move the body and spirit. [2]
Background[]
During World War Three, the First Research Institute researches magic that directly interferes with the living organisms which resulted to combat magicians that directly inflict damage on enemy soldiers. As such, prominent families from the 1st Research Institute, sometimes referred to as "Magicians of the One" are the products of their research like the Ichijou family who specializes in magic interference of body fluids, the Ichinokura Family who specializes in magic interference of body temperature and the Isshiki Family who specializes in magic interference of electricity in the living organisms.[1]
Like Nerve Disturbance, Lightning is one of the developed magic from the 1st Research Institute and the trump card magic of the Isshiki Family that is hereditarily passed to their descendants. [3] But there also some exceptions like Isshiki Airi who rather than having inherited Lightning, she acquired it through her own efforts. [2]

Lightning is a neurotransmission process shortcutting magic but the Isshiki Family uses the magic's name "Lightning" as camouflage since its true nature is not speed but quickness that puts them ahead of their opponent. Lightning creates a shortcut in the process of transmitting electrical signals to the brain, this creates perception speeds capable of handling magical acceleration which is under normal circumestances is one more step where perception is established by transmitting the information to the brain. [1]
Although there is a lag time between the use of a CAD, the body moves before even the magic is seen, making it one of the quickest magics around. [2]
