In that case, you can use the temporary name from the development stage: "Freed Suit". If you ever get a good name, I'd like to hear it.

Hanabishi Hyougo to Shiba Tatsuya

Freed Suit (フリードスーツ) is the temporary name of the armored mobile suit disguised as an ordinary riding suit developed by the Yotsuba Family. It's design is similar to the Mobile Suit developed by the 101 Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion. It's defense and stealth capabilities surpass the Thrust Suits that the USNA developed three months after the Mobile Suits were revealed, the Thrust Suits supposedly rival the Mobile Suits. [1]

Background[]

The Freed Suit is marked as the first time that the private sector, namely the Yotsuba Family created an original flight magic equipped-armored suit to account the possibility that Tatsuya could not use the Mobile Suit due to a rift between him and the 101 Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion or should Tatsuya leave the military. While not a full recreation of the Mobile Suit, it still has the function to connect with the "Third Eye" but the power amplifier function had to be sacrificed making the effectiveness of protection and stealth has become higher compared to the Mobile Suit making the Freed Suit better for Tatsuya who prefers to act alone. In addition, the Freed Suit has the function of establishing a connection with Wingless, effectively allowing the motorcycle to fly as well and a built in Thought-controlled CAD.

Despite having Regrowth, the main weakness of Tatsuya is a weak defense since there are cases that Regrowth cannot be used immediately like a situation when the priority should be given to neutralize the enemy. This is seen on Tatsuya's battle against Angelina Kudou Shields where Tatsuya uses a grenade to force Lina to stop using Parade and defend with Disruption while Tatsuya decides to cancel his Regrowth and prioritizes restraining Lina after withstanding the damage from the grenade's shrapnel. [2] Thus a highly effective protective suit is an ideal means for Tatsuya to demonstrate his fighting capabilities to the maximum, making it an indispensable tool for Tatsuya and unlike the Mobile Suit, this Freed Suit causes no discomfort and could be worn under normal clothes. [1]

Civilian Version[]

The Freed Suit "Civilian" Version is given to Tatsuya by Hanabishi for his mission to free USNA soldiers captured by the National Defense Army Intelligence Department that were brainwashed to attack Tatsuya and Miyuki a few days ago and currently being imprisoned at a facility located at the Boso Peninsula. Hanabishi asks Tatsuya to name the suit but he refuses so for the time being the mobile suit is called "Freed Suit" that could mean "a suit freed from restrictions". [1]

When Tatsuya moves to Izu Villa, the Freed Suit and Wingless are also delivered there for his use incase he needs to return to the city. [3]

When Miyaki Island is attacked by Stars, Tatsuya wears the Freed Suit in his battle against Charlotte Vega, Leila Deneb and Jacob Regulus that became parasites and seals them with Seal Ball. [4]

Tatsuya uses the Freed Suit on his pursuit of Kudou Minoru who abducted Sakurai Minami but is hindered by Kokonoe Yakumo causing a battle to ensue and allowing Minoru to escape to the USNA. [5]

Soldier Version[]

During the Miyaki Island Incident, Tatsuya wears the "Soldier" version of the Freed Suit that is ultramarine color which could be easily mistaken for black with helmet provided with a face shield and battle suit emphasizing the armor on vital points and equipped for melee as its added with a pocket to put a knife that he uses to defend the island from the forces of the USNA, Brazil and New Soviet Union even dismantling Synchronized Linear Fusion and Tuman Bomba. Unlike the Civilian version, the Soldier version breaks many regulations allowed for civilians and if the authorities caught one wearing this, they're going to be treated as criminals. [6]
