Mutsuzuka Atsuko (六塚 温子) is the Head of the Mutsuzuka Family, which is one of the Ten Master Clans.
Appearance and Personality[]
Atsuko is a glamorous woman who has straight brown hair and wears a pant suit. [1]
Atsuko usually sides with Maya during discussions, due to a sense of admiration for Maya and female comraderie. One of the reasons Shibata Katsushige attends Fifth High School in Sendai, is due to the friendliness between Atsuko and Maya. [1]
Background[]
Atsuko currently lives in Sendai, Miyagi at the Mutsuzuka Family's Main House. [1]
She is an owner of a Geothermal Power Plant Drilling Company. [1]
As the Head of the Mutsuzuka Family, she monitors the Tōhoku region. During the Master Clans Conference held every four years, she gives a report on the status of the region. [1]
During the 2097 Ten Master Clan Conference, Atsuko sides with Maya against Saegusa Kouichi's proposal of Shiba Tatsuya marrying Saegusa Mayumi. Despite a compromise made, Atsuko and other clan heads are peeved by Kouichi's bile who insists on pushing that the compromise also applies to Tatsuya and Mayumi as an addition for Ichijou Masaki going after Shiba Miyuki. When Maya reveals Kouichi's collusion with Zhou Gongjin, Atsuko cross-examines Kouichi for his explanation after Juumonji Katsuto's testimony and concurs with Maya's argument that colluding with Zhou who has already done enough damage to Japan is in appropriate for someone in the Ten Master Clans. When Jiedo Heigu attacks the conference venue, Atsuko uses Heat Control Magic to put out the flames and leaves the venue with the rest of the heads while commenting that they cannot deceive the media despite making countermeasures on this incident. After the police concludes questioning the clan heads, they hold another meeting at the Magic Association Kanto Branch where Atsuko insists on taking aggressive action against the attacker. Atsuko then clarifies Maya's proposal of indirectly being involved with the search where Maya explains that she will be sending Tatsuya to search for Gu Jie. After the meeting, Atsuko like the rest of clan heads return to their respective regions to strengthen its vigil. [2]
Atsuko and Katsuto were present in the meeting of the younger members of the 28 magician families organized by Saegusa Tomokazu where they are the only Master Clan Heads present and she introduces herself to Tatsuya who she wants to meet after being announced to be Maya's son. When Tomokazu discuss countermeasures against the Anti-Magician movement that is on the rise since the use of Strategic-Class Magic by other nations, she jokes that she cannot sing and dance if they are planning to have her appear on TV.
